"Give us your tired, your hungry, your poor..." has always been a saying
of which New York has been proud to use promoting a diverse culture.
In the East Village, they seem to concentrate on the hungry part and they
mean it in the beer has food value, food does not have beer value kind
of way
On Avenue C, there are plenty of drinking options. There are German,
Brazilian, and Australian choices. There are also non-ethnic choices.
Zum Schneider is the German contribution. Go for the authentic beer
served fairly cheap by the liter. Stay for the atmosphere that feels more
like Logan's Run than any contributing country of current society.

Meanwhile, Australia took a break from churning out actors to accommodate New York's thirst. Also on Avenue C, is
The Sunburnt Cow, a bar with hip decor that suggest you "get wet or get burnt."
Brazil's burgeoning economy has maintained the focus New York's finance wizards. Likewise, Baraza, has given the
rest of the city something to do.
Still, being a melting pot, on C street or otherwise, is as about blending together, so perhaps it's better to celebrate
non-ethnic options. For this, you might want to check out the "v" shaped bar at Lava Gina (ok, now say it out loud).
With new content weekly, Somebodyisfromhere.com takes a look at travel albeit from the perspective of somebody who probably watched a little too much TV as a kid (or yesterday). The site doubles as a venue in which you can share stories or pictures from your vacations because, let's face it, your friends are sick of hearing about it.P
