<<< Somebodyisfromhere.com's relationship with the Yankees is a sordid one. He hates
them, but he has a picture of Babe Ruth hanging on his basement wall. Overall, he finds
cheering for the Yankees is
a bit like watching a boss and an underling hold a professional
review...and hoping the boss gets their way. They have all the advantages. The win more often
than not. It's boring.

Begrudgingly, however, Somebodyisfromhere.com realizes the heart of American baseball
beats from the Bronx.
On Thursday (June 17) he learned the Yanks were taking on the Phils
and having already taken on
D.C., Wrigley, and Spring Training it was time for him to see the
Bombers on their turf.

The verdict? While Yankee Stadium belongs in the major leagues, it isn't exactly befitting of
New York (kinda like Javier Vazquez
?).

The park feels like a homage to its predecessor. Which is cool and all except they paid a
gazillian dollars to build a replica. At least, Jerry Jones' Cowboy Stadium gave a nod to the old
with features such as the roof, but focused on modernizing. Yankee Stadium just seemed to
worry about space. More space on the concourse. Less wasted space in the outfield. More
space for luxury seating.

It doesn't mean fun wasn't had. His first interaction with a New Yorker was when a cop walked
up to Somebodyisfromhere.com's group in a parking lot and yelled at them for...not drinking.
That was soon rectified. A lot in the area costs about $23.

The average style seat, terrace, ranges from about from around $40 to $80.

Meanwhile, the Phillies had the smallest of World Series revenge. The won and they won easy.
The stadium had more than its share of Phillies fans. In Philly, the ladies are just starting to come around to the game. They wear jerseys. They have
a good time. It's a scene. In New York it's a scene, too. But these girls ... they're New York girls
