<<< Somebodyisfromhere.com visited Stout in New York
a three storied bar on 33rd street.

It's a block away from Penn Station, making it reachable from
about everywhere on the east coast. Or at least reachable by
connection from anywhere. It's like the Kevin Bacon of train
stations related by a few degrees from everywhere. On my
train I sat with a woman from Kentucky who had just flown into
Newark.

By 9 o'clock on a Friday, the cellar of Stout is the only place
with breathing room. It's a dim place, all three floors of it,
partially Irish and the rest full fledged Americana.
With new content weekly, Somebodyisfromhere.com takes a look at travel albeit from the perspective of somebody
who probably watched  a little too much TV as a kid (or yesterday). The site doubles as a venue in which you can share
stories or pictures from your vacations because, let's face it, your friends are sick of hearing about it.
What did I forget? Tell me at somebodyisfromhere.com or on my
myspace page.

The cellar has couches comfortable enough if you didn't have to get up every 10 minutes for another drink. If you don't
have enough friends to protect your seats, there are also dart boards and pool tables to entertain. Meanwhile, if you
prefer the competitive streak in others, there are also TVs featuring the current game.

On this particular night, Stout filled up with Rangers fans as they emptied from Madison Square Garden. I didn't know
people still wore hockey jersies outside the house.

In pure New York fashion, the most entertaining things are the random entries in the evening. On this particular night
we spent some time with a guy who has his own show on the Food Network. He had to leave for a gentleman's club.

Stout is located on 133 W 33rd St.
