Travel by T-Shirt: Vermont.
Where Somebodyisfromhere.com ably describes his journey by the shirts he amassed enroute.
Friday: Nectar's. This kind of thing is like the middle reliever of shirts. It's not going
to wow anybody but it provides serviceable depth. At first useful because of its
sheer whiteness it will eventually evolve into a gym staple.

Nectar's was the bar in which Phish was discovered. It's grungey, with a large
assortment of beers and an even larger stage. A side room has a couple pool
tables.

Nectar's is downtown near several other bars. It stood out on Friday because the
table we sat out provided a good view of the atmosphere and was far enough from
the noise to be able to converse.
Saturday: Stow Mountain. Somebodysifromhere.com couldn't leave Vermont with
something appropriate for a hippie...only he bought it at one of the state's few
unadulterated homages to capitalism.

The resort is large in its own right, with at least two bars during the afternoon, but is
undergoing a large expansion.

There are several slopes with varying degrees of difficulty.

It may cost you nine bucks to get a soup, but a shirt only costs $20 or so.
Sunday: The Crow.  Burlington is chock full of places with interesting names like the The
Skinny Pancake(Crepes) and What Ales You? (drinks). The Crow tops the list. What that has
to do with books is beyond me, but
The Crow is a used book store that sits unintimidated
across from a Borders.

Used books may sound old school but its location on Church Street, Burlington's main
shopping district, lends it legitimacy. Church Street is also close to the University of Vermont
and one would imagine there is some spillover.

Also, they are a used a book store that sells self-referential T-shirts. Now, that's gravitas.
