<<< It is nearing the time when college students who have spent
the semester abroad start trickling home. Many of which will have
the hangover.
This hangover, however is not alcohol induced. It came from
three and a half months the students spent having the time of
their lives.
The results of this hangover are similar to a normal one. There’s
a lot of time spent piecing together exactly what occurred. There
is the talking to the people you were with trying to make sure your
memories are similar. You can try to distract yourself with other
things, but no matter what you can’t stop thinking about it.
Like a normal hangover, though there are a lot of ingredients that
go into making you feel the way you do.
There are the people you met; the locals that hate Americans,
the locals that love Americans, and the like minded Americans
you met enroute.
There are the sites you visited; Big Ben, the Coliseum, the
Louvre.
Of course there's the alcohol. Maybe you went to the Guinness
Storehouse in Dublin and. Maybe you toured the Heineken
Experience in Amsterdam. Certainly, all the Pubs in between.
All of these things play a part.

The destination destination.
With time, though all hangovers start to go away. New distractions arrive; classes or jobs to go to, new people
with whom to socialize, and bills to pay.
Still the memories will always be there.
In a few months the students who will spend the upcoming semester abroad will come home and probably feel the
same way. Some will no doubt have the hangover. It might last a few weeks or a few months. Maybe, just
maybe, one or two of them might even be glad they’re home. One thing is certain this kind of hangover is worth it.
With new content weekly, Somebodyisfromhere.com takes a look at travel albeit from the perspective of somebody who probably watched a little too much TV as a kid (or yesterday). The site doubles as a venue in which you can share stories or pictures from your vacations because, let's face it, your friends are sick of hearing about it.

Although it's been years since I attended college and spent a semester in
Europe, I do remember the feeling. You captured it well. Nice piece.
I ordered Cadavers*. It sounds interesting - totally out my us "usual" relm.
Hope your weekend is going well.
*This comment may come off that Elizabeth is some kind of serial killer. Although, she may be a serial
killer--she probably isn't. She was however commenting on the fact that somebodyisfromhere.com is
currently reading Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers. He likes it so far.
